Boulder City Homes and Older Concrete
Boulder City is the outlier among our service areas, and not just because of the drive. The housing stock is considerably older than the rest of the valley, there is no HOA culture to speak of, and the commercial base is small, independent, and tourism-facing.
All of that changes how we approach the work.
Old concrete is not new concrete. Many Boulder City driveways and walkways were poured decades ago. Fifty years of sun, freeze-thaw at elevation, and general wear leaves concrete that is softer at the surface, sometimes already spalling, and occasionally carrying a failing sealer from a previous owner.
Hitting that with full pressure does damage. So on older properties we test an inconspicuous area first, work at lower pressure, and tell you honestly if a surface has deteriorated past the point where cleaning helps. Sometimes the right answer is that the concrete needs resurfacing, not washing.
Historic District and Nevada Way Businesses
The historic district and the businesses along Nevada Way and Arizona Street are a different kind of commercial work than the chain retail we handle in the valley — smaller frontages, older buildings, and storefronts where appearance directly affects walk-in traffic from visitors.
Sidewalk and entry cleaning is the bulk of it. Older masonry and painted surfaces get treated conservatively, for the same reason the residential concrete does.
Scheduling here is usually more flexible than in the valley, since most businesses close in the evening and there is no overnight traffic to work around.

Commercially it is mostly storefront and sidewalk cleaning for the business district.
We do less pool deck work in Boulder City than in Henderson simply because there are fewer of them, but cool deck and travertine get the same conservative handling when they come up.
