Pavers Need a Different Approach Than Concrete
Pavers are everywhere in Las Vegas, on driveways, patios, pool decks, and front walkways from Summerlin to Henderson. They look great when they are clean, and dull and patchy when they are not, which makes them one of the most visible jobs in our pressure washing in Las Vegas work.
They also need more care than poured concrete. Too much pressure can damage the face of the paver and blow sand out of the joints, so we clean pavers at a pressure that suits the surface instead of turning the machine all the way up.
The equipment is the same we use everywhere else: hot water and a rotating surface cleaner, followed by a pressure wash with a wand for the edges and detail work.
Pressure set for pavers
Enough to lift dirt and grime, without damaging the paver face or the joints.
Hot water and a surface cleaner
Even, consistent cleaning across the whole surface instead of wand stripes.

What We Clean on Pavers
The method stays the same. What changes is where the surface cleaner fits and how much detail work the area needs.
Paver driveways
Hot water and a surface cleaner, then a wand along the edges
Dirt and grime come off evenly across the whole driveway
Front walkways and entries
Surface cleaner where it fits, detail wand everywhere else
Clean, even color right up to the door
Patios and pool decks
Same method, with care around furniture, plants, and the pool
An even result across the whole area
Oil and rust on pavers
Treated as separate stains, case by case
Results vary. We will tell you what to expect first

After: the same driveway, cleaned
How We Clean Pavers
Three steps, the same on every paver job.
Pre-treat
Cleaning solution goes down first and gets time to loosen the dirt and grime.
Hot water surface clean
A rotating surface cleaner with hot water cleans the pavers evenly, at a pressure set for the surface.
Pressure wash with a wand
The wand handles the edges, borders, and detail work, then the whole area gets rinsed.
Why Pressure Settings Matter on Pavers
Pavers are built to handle cars, but the top surface can still be damaged by a pressure washer set too high or held too close.
The joints between pavers are filled with sand. Too much pressure blows it out, which can leave gaps and loose pavers.
A surface cleaner keeps the pressure and distance the same across the whole area, which is how you get an even result instead of stripes.
Getting pavers clean comes down to the right method, not the most pressure.
